My name is Kris McCormick and I’m a life-long reader and storyteller turned editor. As I grew and studied the craft of writing, I came to realize that, rather than focusing solely on my writing, my passions and skills could be better used helping others tell their stories. I’ve spent the past 15 years honing my understanding of story and writing while also researching the publishing industry’s trends, tendencies, and trials. Now I’m here to share all I know with you to build the writing and/or publishing lifestyle you’ve been dreaming of. I have a BA in English and an MA in Publishing and MFA in Creative Writing from Rosemont College.

Our purpose is to encourage and empower writers of all backgrounds, interests, and experiences to write their ideas into completed works, never abandoning them for lack of time or guidance. Whether writing for your enjoyment or for profit, Green Pen is designed to provide whatever an author may need on their journey: encouragement, advice, editorial feedback, or information about publishing opportunities.
